Good Mourning, Goodnight

This piece was for an assignment in my Basic Painting class this past fall at Quincy College. The task was to create a both a warm toned piece and a cool toned background piece. I decided to take two canvases and mold them together after painting each respective painting on them to create a diptych. This piece depicts characters from a story I’ve been working on after the passing of a pivotal character. This piece was made with acrylic paints on two 11 x 15 canvases, and was molded together to make one 11 x 30 canvas.
