Bleach

This is a painting I did that was inspired by the 5 Seconds of Summer song, Bleach. It’s a mixed media painting, made on a 12 x 16 canvas with acrylic paints, with some sections being colored with markers and gel pens. I felt the non-paint sections helped add the sort of disconnected feeling the narrator of the song feels from reality, giving an effect of something being ever so slightly off.
