True Colors

This piece was for an assignment in my Fundamentals of Visual Arts class this past fall at Quincy College. The task was to create a surreal art piece, and I created this portrait of my original character, Marigold, who is an android posing as a human. The title true colors refers to not only her metaphorical true colors of being an android, but also the fact that the only colored parts of this piece are her wiring and her fake eye. I used a glass pen with inkwells for this piece on a 9x12 sheet of mixed media paper.
